The quarterfinals of the MLB The Show 20 Players League continues tonight, as the last eight MLB players in the field will play down until we have a champion crowned on Sunday, May 3rd. All of the remaining games will all be streamed live on national television, with the players facing off in best-of-three matchups until Sunday’s Championship Series, which will be a best-of-five.

Let’s take a look at the playoff bracket and TV assignments for all games.

MLB Players League Quarterfinals A & B

When: Friday, May 1st, 10:00 p.m. ET
Where: Fox Sports 1

#1 Blake Snell (24-5), Tampa Bay Rays defeats #8 Gavin Lux (19-10), Los Angeles Dodgers two games to zero.

Blake Snell knocked off Gavin Lux 3-2 and 5-4 to advance to the semifinals, and did so on the strength of Snell’s best hitter Austin Meadows yet again. In a pair of one-run victories, 3-2 and 5-4, the Rays starter and the 2018 AL Cy Young winner advanced to the semifinals to be played Saturday, May 2nd.

Snell dominated the competition on the way to the top spot after the season. The 2018 Cy Young winner mixes in some Drake and Oasis while playing, and has been fun to watch as he’s dominated the field. Lux needed a loss by Tommy Kahnle of the Yankees last night to make the field.

#4 Jeff McNeil (21-8), New York Mets defeats #5 Dwight Smith Jr. (19-10), Baltimore Orioles two games to zero.

McNeil made quick work of Smith Jr. with a 3-2 win and a 3-1 win for the sweep and to advance to the next round against Snell.

The Mets infielder McNeil won plenty, and wasn’t afraid to give himself play-by-play during the games as well. Smith had to go 5-2 over his last seven to make the field, and has been much better in the game than on the field (-0.8 WAR career in MLB).

#2 Joey Gallo (23-6), Texas Rangers vs. #7 Ian Happ (19-10), Chicago Cubs

Gallo hits plenty of bombs in real life and in baseball simulation, but isn’t happy with the photos used to represent him in the game. Happ needed some good fortune last night to qualify, and scored exactly one more run during the regular season than Lux to earn the higher seed as a tiebreaker.

#3 Bo Bichette (21-8), Toronto Blue Jays vs. #6 Lucas Giolito (19-10), Chicago White Sox

Bichette is as known for his hair as his skills on the sticks, and it shows with his outstanding handle “BoFlows” on Twitch. Giolito got the 6-3 win last night over Amir Garrett to make the field, and scored 102 runs during the regular season.
