The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers square off to close out Opening Night of the 2020 MLB season. First pitch is scheduled for 10:08 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium. Johnny Cueto will take the mound for the Giants, while Dustin May will start for the Dodgers.
Lineup information is coming out, and the Dodgers had big news today. Clayton Kershaw was scheduled to start the opener, but back stiffness has resulted in him going on the injured list to open the season. The Dodgers recalled May and he will move right into the starting rotation to keep the rest of the rotation on their normal order.
The Giants lineup have posted their lineup a little over two hours away from the game and face an uphill climb, even against a replacement in May. The Giants had low expectations and will enter the season without Buster Posey, who elected to opt out.
