UPDATE, 1:50 p.m.: Marlins DH Garrett Cooper and right fielder Harold Ramirez have tested positive for Covid-19, according to Jon Heyman. They join previously reported starter Jose Urena and catcher Jorge Alfaro in needing to quarantine.
The Miami Marlins wrap up their season-opening series with the Philadelphia Phillies, but they will be without their planned starting pitcher on Sunday. Jose Urena was scratched from his start due to a positive Covid-19 test. Robert Dugger is getting the start in his place. Jon Heyman is reporting Urena is asymptomatic.
This comes along with news that two starting position players tested positive for Covid-19, according to Heyman. The Marlins released their lineup for Sunday’s rubber match with the Phillies, and they are without some planned starters. The third game of a series can often be a day where players get a day off, so we can’t say for certain what this means.
