We have our first rain postponement of the 2021 MLB season. The Boston Red Sox announced Thursday morning their Opening Day game with the Baltimore Orioles is being postponed due to rain. First pitch was scheduled for 2:10 p.m. but bad weather is expected on and off throughout the day.

The game and associated pre-game ceremonies have been rescheduled for Friday, April 2. First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. on a day that was slated to be an off day for the team.

John Means was scheduled to pitch for the Orioles while Nathan Eovaldi was slotted in for the Red Sox. Eovaldi was a replacement for Eduardo Rodriguez, who was pushed back due to a dead arm issue.

The Red Sox had been installed as -180 favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Orioles were +1.5 on the run line and favored there at -127. The run total was installed at 9.5, with over at -103 and under at -120.
