MLB with wrap up the week with a ton of action. Fourteen games are on tap for Sunday, and the start times will range from 1:05 to 7:08 p.m. ET. There’s a lot to take in through two weekends of the 2021 season. Let’s go over the best games, fantasy matchups, and rookies to watch.
Best Game To Watch
Sunday’s matchup between the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels will feature a primetime pitcher matchup. Max Scherzer is set to go head to head with Clayton Kershaw. The Dodgers entered Saturday with the most hits in MLB. The Nationals entered the weekend having given up the fewest hits in MLB. One side has to give, and baseball fans could be in for a very exciting matchup. Both pitchers are off to slow starts but will look to bounce back with strong performances.
Fantasy Spotlight
The Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals had hot bats on Saturday and combined for 24 hits. It’s not likely that both teams will be as productive at the plate on Sunday, but there’s a good chance the Cardinals will get going with the Brewers starting Brett Anderson. Anderson forked up three home runs in five innings in his 2021 debut. Keep an aye on Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, Yadier Molina, and others.
Rookies to Watch
Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a bomb for the Miami Marlins in their 3-0 victory over the New York Mets on Saturday. While the 23-year-old shortstop is still building momentum, he’s had some great at-bats against top-notch pitching. If he can hit a 400-footer off Jacob deGrom, he has a chance to produce against any arm in MLB.
Note: Today’s game between the Angels and Blue Jays has been postponed due to rain. The game between the New York Mets and Miami Marlins was suspended in the first inning due to thunderstorms.
