The New York Mets had their game Thursday rained out in the afternoon at Citi Field. As a result, the Colorado Rockies get the raw deal with two-time Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom on the hill for the Mets. The Mets ace is off to another strong start in 2021 despite not getting a win. He’s got an 0.67 ERA with 21 Ks over 14 IP in two starts. We’ll see if the Rockies bats in the high altitude at Coors Field can rattle deGrom a bit. We’ll also see if Coors can wake the Mets’ bats up. Despite a three-game sweep of the Phillies this week, the Mets still haven’t been scoring runs. If the bats can match the pitching, things could get ugly in Colorado.
