We’ve got nine games on the schedule heading into the weekend in Major League Baseball and we’ve officially made it through one week of the season! There are mostly afternoon games with the Yanks and Rays, and Dodgers and Nats in action early on. NL Cy Young contender Walker Buehler will be on the hill for the defending champs against Joe Ross for the Nats. Buehler was just OK in his first start of the season vs. the Colorado Rockies. He struck out 4 over 6 IP with 4 hits and 2 ER.

Perhaps the most underrated matchup in this group of starters is in the Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies matchup. Wheeler was lights out in his first start of the season with 10 Ks over 7 shutout innings against this same Braves squad. Can Wheeler dominate ATL again? It could be lined up that way if the Phils bats can get to veteran Charlie Morton, who allowed 3 ER on 6 hits last week.
