We have 15 games on deck in the majors on Tuesday, beginning at 6:35 p.m. ET. Before first pitch between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates, we’ll take a look at the best games on the schedule, rookies to keep an eye out for, and spotlight a relevant fantasy option.
Best Games To Watch
It is hard to single out the best game to watch on Tuesday because we have a few good pitching matchups across the majors. For starters, Corey Kluber is back on the mound for the Yankees after tossing a no-hitter last week against the Texas Rangers. The Yankees will take on the Blue Jays at 7:05 p.m. ET in a pivotal three-game set. Another game to watch will be the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers at 7:40 p.m. ET. Joe Musgrove (4-4, 2.47 ERA) will be on the mound for the Padres, while the Brewers will turn to NL Cy Young candidate Corbin Burnes (2-3, 1.79 ERA).
Along with those two games, we’ll also have a rematch of the 2018 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros at 8:10 p.m. ET on FS1. Clayton Kershaw (6-3, 3.18 ERA) will face off against Zack Greinke (4-1, 3.77 ERA). Also at 8:10 p.m. ET, the Chicago White Sox will try to give St. Louis Cardinals ace Jack Flaherty (8-0, 2.53) his first loss on the season.
Fantasy Spotlight
Minnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano has not played great this season compared to the other players at first base. But the good news for both him and the Twins, is that he is starting to figure it out at the plate. The veteran infielder has recorded a hit in six out of his last eight games for the Twins. Over that time, Sano has produced five double-digit games in DFS at a relatively cheap value ($3500-$4100). This season, he is hitting .185 with 8 HRs, 19 RBI, .748 OPS, and averaging 7.3 fantasy points per game.
Rookies to Watch
Chicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Vaughn is starting to make a strong case on why he should be in the starting lineup everyday. The rookie outfielder is only hitting .234 with 4 HRs, 12 RBI, and .749 OPS this season. However, Vaughn has hit a home run in back-to-back games, which is what the White Sox wants to see more of going forward. While he hasn’t had the start like other rookies have had this season, we have to remember Vaughn only played in 55 games in the minors. But if he can continue to hit for power and find that consistency, it’s just going to make the White Sox’s lineup that much more dangerous.
