The Athletics lost 6-5 to the Mariners in extra innings on Memorial Day for their third straight defeat. Oakland is still in first place in the AL West with a record of 31-25. Chris Bassitt will be on the mound for the A’s on Tuesday night. The 32-year-old is 5-2 with an ERA of 3.21 in 11 starts.

The Mariners have been one of the better stories through the first half of the baseball season. Seattle has won five straight games and only 2.5 games behind the A’s for first place in the AL West. The Mariners will put Marco Gonzales on the mound, who will be making his first start since Apr. 27 due to a forearm strain.
