All 30 MLB teams are scheduled to play some baseball on Sunday, June 6th with a full slate of 15 games. The action will get started at 1:05 p.m. ET and run through the Sunday Night Baseball game with the first pitch set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
Let’s take a look at some of the key aspects to watch for on this Sunday.
Best Games To Watch
You can still not go wrong with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. This is the Sunday Night Baseball game starting at 7:00 p.m. ET, and it can be seen on ESPN. Boston is in second place in the American League East at 35-23, just one game behind the Tampa Bay Rays, while the Yankees are in fourth place, 5.5 games back with a 31-28 record.
Another interesting game to watch is the Chicago Cubs heading on the road to play the San Francisco Giants in a game that is set to start at 4:05 p.m. ET. San Francisco has a record of 37-21 to lead the National League West, while the Cubs are tied for the top spot in the National League Central at 32-26.
The Milwaukee Brewers will turn to Corbin Burnes on the mound, and he has been fantastic this season and is worth a high DFS price. Despite just a 2-4 record, he has a 2.24 ERA. He will face the Arizona Diamondbacks, a struggling team all around with the worst record in baseball.
Despite an eight-game losing streak, Miami Marlins have a chance at putting together a solid offensive performance going up against Pirates’ starter Chad Kuhl. Through five starts, he has an 0-2 record with a 6.41 ERA. Jesus Aguilar went for four hits on Saturday including a home run and will be worth a look.
Rookies to Watch
Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Ke’Bryan Hayes returned to the active lineup on Thursday, coming off the 60-day injured list, and he’s played well in his return with five hits over the three games including a home run. He figures to be a significant part of the Pirates’ plans as a franchise, so he’s worth keeping an eye on during their game against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.
Cincinnati Reds third baseman Jonathan India has done well at the plate in recent games. He homered in each of his last two games and finished with two hits three games in a row as he continues to hit his stride. He and the Reds will be going up against the St. Louis Cardinals.
