Boston boasts one of the best offenses in baseball and is overall one of the better teams in the league. However, they sit in second place in the AL East because of the Tampa Bay Rays’ recent run of dominance. Still, the Sox are 7-3 in their last 10, including two wins over Miami.
The Marlins just snapped an eight-game losing streak on Sunday and will look to get back on track behind their ace. Lopez has an impressive 2.82 ERA and has allowed just six runs over his last 23 innings pitched, which is much better than his counterpart Pivetta. But the Marlins offense tends to struggle to push runs across. This matchup still gives Miami the best chance at an upset in this series, though.
The Red Sox are currently favored on the moneyline at -148 and you can grab the Marlins at +125 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Boston is also a -1.5 run favorite with an over/under line sitting at 9.5.
