We have a full 15-game slate in the majors Saturday, beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET. There are a lot good matchups happening across the league that will not only have betting but also fantasy implications. Over the course of the day, we will be keeping up to date with the latest injury and lineup news before first pitch between the New York Mets and New York Yankees.
The Mets and Yankees were scheduled to begin the Subway series Friday night, but it was postponed due to rain. This is a pivotal series for both teams as the Mets are trying to hold on to their lead in the NL East race, while the Yankees are looking to stay in contention in the AL East. Taijuan Walker (6-3, 2.38 ERA), who has been outstanding this season for the Mets will get the start and Jordan Montgomery (3-2, 4.06 ERA) will be on the mound for the Yankees.
In addition to this series, there’s a lot of attention surrounding the HR race in the majors as Shohei Ohtani hit two more HRs on Friday night, giving him 30 on the season. He has now hit the most home runs in Angels’ history before the All-Star break. The two-way star player will try to add to his lead on Saturday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
