Update — The Chicago White Sox swooped in and got Kimbrel in a deal with the Cubs, sending rookie INF Nick Madrigal in the process.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on a quest for a second straight World Series title and they aren’t done making moves before the MLB Trade Deadline at 4 p.m. ET on Friday. After acquiring SP Max Scherzer and SS Trea Turner from the Washington Nationals on Thursday, it appears the Dodgers aren’t done. Chicago Cubs RP Craig Kimbrel could be next on the list, per Jon Heyman.

The Dodgers would have a pretty stacked bullpen with Kimbrel, Kenley Jansen, Blake Treinen, David Price, Tony Gonsolin and Jimmy Nelson. Like that is an insane amount of quality relievers. The Dodgers are very willing to part ways with top prospects in order to load up again after dealing Keibert Ruiz and Josiah Gray in the Scherzer-Turner deal.
