The increase in foreign substance checks has resulted in a variety of odd and curious situations with pitchers. We’ve seen pitchers removing parts of their uniform to show umpired they’re clean. On Wednesday, Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn took it a slight step further.

Lynn got aggravated by a foreign substance check following the fourth inning and decided to throw his belt toward the umpire. The ump immediately tossed him and Garrett Crochet replaced him on the mound against the Oakland Athletics. Lynn had given up one run on three hits in his four innings.

Here’s some additional video of Lynn getting annoyed by the foreign substance check initially.
