After colliding with JaMychal Green in Wednesday’s game vs. the Clippers, Clint Capela was ruled out for the next two contests due to a concussion. It’s unclear when the center will return for Houston, but we know how serious concussions are being handling nowadays. So the Rockets will operate with Capela and are becoming incredibly thin in the rotation with regular Eric Gordon also sidelined.
Let’s break down what Capela’s absence means for the Rockets tonight vs. Indiana.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis, Houston Rockets C Clint Capela
With Capela out, the Rockets have already named Tyson Chandler ($4,000) the starting center for tonight’s game vs. the Pacers. Behind him, there’s Ryan Anderson ($3,000) and Isaiah Hartenstein ($3,000), who have collectively played 14 minutes this season. Soooo yeah, Chandler is going to be chalk tonight. We could maybe see the Rockets just play small ball with James Harden, Russell Westbrook, P.J. Tucker and say, Ben McLemore, but Chandler should almost be locked into 30+ minutes if he can handle it. Otherwise Tucker may have to deal with Domantas Sabonis ($8,700) down low. Sabonis is probably one of the best GPP plays because of that. I’d also invest some stock in Malcolm Brogdon ($7,600) considering how short Houston’s bench is.
This line is very interesting too. The Rockets are still 5-point favorites at home, which seems odd considering the Pacers have won four straight and Houston is missing key players. I’d expect Indiana to cover the spread and have a decent shot at the moneyline at +175.
