We’re still waiting on word on Lonzo Ball (adductor) and whether the point guard will return after being questionable. But for now let’s work with the news that we’ve got.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis, New Orleans Pelicans roster
With Ingram and Jackson in, this bumps down the value of Jrue Holiday ($8,800) on DraftKings a bit. He’ll share offensive touches with Ingram and Jackson will be available as the backup point guard to eat up minutes. Still, the game is expected to be close, so Holiday will still play his regular allotment of minutes — in the 30-36 range. If Lonzo comes back, another bump down for Holiday given his high price.
This should also bump down the value plays as well: J.J. Redick ($5,100), Kenrick Williams ()$5,700), E’Twaun Moore ($4,600) and Jaxson Hayes ($4,900) will all see less usage given the return of Ingram. I still think Hayes is viable, but Nicolo Melli ($4,400) may not see as much playing time as once thought.
As far as the line, right now the Pelicans are -2 on DK Sportsbook and that should only go up as we get closer to lock at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Trail Blazers will be without Damian Lillard (back), which obviously puts them in a tough spot and the Pelicans have played well when healthy.
