UPDATE: Well that was quick at least. Draymond Green (heel) will indeed be out tonight vs. the Mavericks. Apparently now it’s a heel injury and not this elbow thing he’s been dealing with? Anyway, the plays are clear. Willie Cauley-Stein and Marquese Chriss, plus Omari Spellman if you’re looking for savings in GPPs.
Golden State Warriors center Draymond Green (elbow) has been downgraded to a game-time decision for Wednesday vs. the Dallas Mavericks, coach Steve Kerr told reporters before the game.
We knew Dray was dealing with the elbow injury, but it appeared he was going to be fine for tonight’s game. Kerr also mentioned Green is just banged up after logging a lot of minutes last night vs. the Grizzlies. So with that, it sounds like the Dubs may be cautious and not risk another huge injury.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis, Golden State Warriors PF/C Draymond Green
On one hand, this sucks because Green would have made a very nice cash-game play on DraftKings at $6K. Now, we can’t risk a goose egg in our cash lineup, so we’ll have to look elsewhere or monitor this closely. If Green sits, Willie Cauley-Stein ($5,100) becomes a viable chalk option. The extreme value though would be Marquese Chriss ($3,700), who has been playing well the past two games and would be in line for 20+ minutes in a good game environment. Omari Spellman ($3,300) is also in play.
