Well, believed to be the highest scoring game on the slate, the San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards did not disappoint on Wednesday night. The Wizards barely survived, pulling away in the second half to complete a 138-132 victory, handing San Antonio its seventh straight loss.
No one player separated himself in terms of fantasy, but we had eight players go over 30 DraftKings fantasy points. So let’s take a look at some of the top scorers:
DeMar DeRozan ($8,100) — 45 DKFP
Bradley Beal ($9,500) — 43.5 DKFP
Bryn Forbes ($4,300 — 40 DKFP
LaMarcus Aldridge ($7,700) — 39 DKFP
Davis Bertans ($4,500) — 35.75 DKFP
Ish Smith ($3,700) — 35 DKFP
Patty Mills ($4,000) — 30.75 DKFP
Rudy Gay ($4,900) — 30.75 DKFP
So as you can see, this was a pretty decent spot to stack on tonight’s 11-game slate. I recommended this in my Slate Breakdown earlier, so if you listened, well, hopefully you’re winning money right now. If not, well start listening. The only player of that bunch that was over 10% owned in DraftKings’ $12 GPP was Patty Mills, the rest, all great leverage plays. So as long as you played most of them with The God Among Men Luka Doncic, you’re in good shape.
As for betting, the Wizards ended up covering the spread and the O/U went waayyyyy over at a total of 270 points, which is laughable, like I’m laughing right now thinking about it. For future reference, maybe betting on the Wizards O/U in almost all of their games would be a wise decision. Their team total is also not a bad place to look. Stay woke.
