The Portland Trail Blazers snapped a four-game losing streak and Carmelo Anthony got his first win with the team as they beat the Chicago Bulls 117-94 on Monday evening. Anthony continued to impress since joining the Blazers, finishing the night with 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He finished with 41 DKFP in 31 minutes of game time and his best shooting performance of the season.
Through four games, Anthony has improved his performance and become a key rotational player for Portland. In his debut, he scored nine points with four rebounds and five turnovers in 24 minutes against the New Orleans Pelicans. In his second game, he scored 18 points with seven rebounds and four assists. Over the weekend, he took a modest step back with 11 points, two rebounds and one assist while playing a season-high 35 minutes.
Whatever Portland’s long-term plan, Anthony is doing enough to justify a continued starting presence. The Trail Blazers host Oklahoma City on Wednesday, with tip-off set for 10:00 p.m. ET
