UPDATE: Rockets C Clint Capela (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game vs. the Miami Heat. Capela had been questionable and now it would appear Tyson Chandler will start in place of Cap. We’ll get starters from coach Mike D’Antoni soon, so keep an eye out for that.
This upgrade Bam Adebayo for the Heat given he won’t have to deal with Capela all night. Plus, Jimmy Butler is out for Miami as well with an illness. Danuel House Jr. ($4,500) was one of my top values for the slate and that gains steam with Capela now ruled out.
Houston Rockets center Clint Capela is dealing with an illness that has him questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Miami Heat. Capela had been dealing with a concussion about a week ago, so this may have something to do with that. It also may just be to give the center some extra rest with teams breaking for Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Houston Rockets C Clint Capela
Let’s focus first on the Heat’s side of things. If Capela is out, that’s a big body down low that Miami doesn’t have to deal with. This would open things up for Jimmy Butler to get to the basket a little easier, while also making the matchup down low for Bam Adebayo much easier.
On the Rockets side, we saw Tyson Chandler start at center with Capela out, so that’s a possibility. Chandler doesn’t offer much fantasy upside, but would be cheap on DraftKings. Danuel House Jr. and P.J. Tucker would be the biggest beneficiaries if Capela is to be ruled out. Tucker saw some time in smaller lineups with Cap out, plus House is the only other big body the Rockets have other than Chandler.
