Anthony Davis greets Pelicans with huge fantasy night

The Lakers squeezed out a win and AD dropped 41 points in his return to New Orleans. We break down his fantasy basketball performance.

For those of you who didn’t believe in the “Anthony Davis returns to New Orleans” narrative last night. For-shame. AD and the Los Angeles Lakers went into NOLA and stole a win from the Pelicans 114-110. Davis, of course, was the shining star in the game, dropping 41 points with nine rebounds and three steals in 37 minutes for 61.25 DraftKings fantasy points.

At $10,000, Davis, in my eyes, was a steal on the slate. Considering the narrative and the price, I think he was set up to smash and that’s exactly what he did. Accompanying Davis as always was LeBron James, who also had a decent night at $11,500. James barely missed hitting value, dropping 29 points with 11 assists and five rebounds for 57.25 DKFP.

AD shot a clean 50% from the field on 15-of-30 shooting and helped the Lakers maintain their spot atop the NBA at 16-2. However, what the Lakers failed to accomplish was covering the -6.5 spread on the road, which was disappointing to say the least. AD’s season averages are now up to 26.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

The Lakers are back in action at home against the Washington Wizards on Friday.
