The Houston Rockets are expected to get center Clint Capela back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game vs. the San Antonio Spurs. Capela has been dealing with an illness that has kept him out of the lineup since before Thanksgiving last week. Along with Cap, Danuel House Jr. has also been sick, and he isn’t expected to get back in the rotation tomorrow night.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Houston Rockets C Clint Capela
With Capela out the past two games, the Rockets have had a thin front court. I mean, let’s be real, their front court has always been pretty thin. Tyson Chandler has been starting at center, with PJ Tucker operating as the primary power forward, though Houston’s style of play allows them to survive with a small lineup. Now that Cap is back, they’ll have an easier time on the defensive interior and we should see less of Chandler. With House out, expect Tucker to keep seeing big minutes, though.
Ben McLemore should remain in the starting five despite Capela’s return, and he played 34 minutes the other night in a massive blowout over the Hawks. James Harden and Russell Westbrook aren’t really affected much by Capela’s return, if anything both superstars should benefit with defenses having to account for someone with size.
