Mike Conley leaves early Monday vs. 76ers

Jazz point guard injures hamstring against Philadelphia. We break down the fantasy basketball impact.

In the third quarter of tonight’s game against 76ers, Mike Conley ($6,000) went to the locker room with a hamstring injury and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. This continues a rocky start to the season for the Jazz’s new point guard. Conley was brought in to be a difference maker and help make Utah a title contender. Instead, he’s shooting 37% from the field.

If Conley misses games, Donovan Mitchell ($7,800) is likely to spend more time on the ball. His assist rate nearly doubles with Conley off the court, going from recording 2.3 assists per 36 minutes to 3.9. Emmanuel Mudiay ($3,300) and Joe Ingles ($4,300) would be in line for extra playing time with Ingles the most likely candidate to enter the starting lineup. Playing an expanded role after the injury to Conley, Ingles played 31 minutes and scored 38.5 DKFP. Royce O’Neale ($3,900) is also somebody to keep an eye on after he played 30 minutes. He only scored 14 DFKP, but the playing time is encouraging for such a cheap player.
