Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was swiped in the face in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day and did not come back into the game. Giannis finished with 18-14-7 in the game and went over 50 fantasy points, but it was one of his worst performances of the season. The Greek Freak settled for too many outside shots, going 0-7 from long range. The Bucks suffered their worse loss of the season as a result, falling 121-109 in Philly. Khris Middleton had 31 points, but the rest of the team was cold.
Giannis was visibly bothered by the face swiping after it happened and he was upset with how the game went clearly. It’ll be interesting to see if this swings things in the East a bit. This is the first time Milwaukee looked rattled and outplayed for an entire game. The Sixers looked like an elite team that can win the NBA Finals. That hadn’t happened often up to this point in the season.
