The Washington Wizards announced Tuesday that center Thomas Bryant has a stress reaction in his right foot and he will be evaluated again in three weeks. Bryant sustained the injury in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and now it appears he’ll be out at least through the month of December. The top offense in the league, the Wizards will miss Bryant on the interior, but this means a boost in fantasy for a few players.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Washington Wizards C Thomas Bryant
With Bryant out and Moritz Wagner questionable for Tuesday, the man who stands to benefit the most is Davis Bertans, who has been the hot shooter lately anyway. Bertans ($5,300) will enter the starting lineup and see upward of 30 minutes on a fast-paced offense. He’d be a solid pickup in season-long formats as well; I wrote him up in my waiver wire piece on Monday.
Rui Hachimura ($5,200) is also in a good spot Tuesday night vs. the Orlando Magic. He’s coming off a career-high 30 points with nine rebounds against the Clips, and the added touches on offense and minutes should go a long way for the rookie out of Gonzaga.
