Heat crack top 5 in latest NBA Power Rankings in Week 11

Miami enters week on five-game winning streak, still going overlooked despite third-best record in NBA. Here are DK Nation’s NBA Power Rankings for Week 11.

I was discussing how nice it is that there’s finally some parity in the NBA again this weekend at a friends apartment. When you look at the Eastern Conference there are realistically 5-6 teams you could see making it to the NBA Finals. The Milwaukee Bucks lead that list, but behind them are strong contenders in the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and the perpetually underrated Miami Heat.

I think the Heat are one of the most overlooked teams in the NBA. They have a legit superstar in Jimmy Butler — like him or not, he’s probably still a top 20 player in the NBA all-around. Miami has a budding young big in Bam Adebayo — who I think at this point is this year’s Pascal Siakam and could end up winning Most Improved Player. And behind those two are a slew of solid role players: Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, Kelly Olynyk, Derrick Jones Jr. aka Airplane Mode. Plus, the Heat may have the best collection of young shooters in the NBA: Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson.

That’s pretty much all you need to contend right there. The Heat are on a five-game winning streak and have defeated four playoff teams in that span, including two wins over the Sixers. Depth, balanced offense and a tenacious defense are what could lift the Heat into the conversation to come out of the East in June.

Anyway, let’s take a look at the NBA Power Rankings for Week 11:
