New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson (knee) is “very likely” to sit out back-to-backs when he returns from knee surgery, GM David Griffin told reporters Thursday night.
Griffin said Zion “very likely” will not play back to backs when he first comes back. He said there will be a “ramp up process”.— Scott Kushner (@ScottDKushner) December 6, 2019
There have been a few Zion updates going around but we still don’t know when the No. 1 overall pick is going to make his NBA debut for the Pels. There were reports speculating that it wouldn’t be within the 6-8 week timetable that was original set in place. That isn’t all too surprising though, considering New Orleans is 6-16 and second-to-last in the Western Conference ahead of the Golden State Warriors.
