Ben Simmons fantasy basketball, player prop recap vs. Nets
Fantasy basketball stats: 34 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists — 84 FPTS
Player Prop Record: 6-1
Simmons stepped up again to help the Sixers survive the Nets in Brooklyn. His triple-double was the second in January, while the 34 points matched a career high. It was the fifth straight game Simmons had more than 20 points while Joel Embiid remains out. He’s been consistently hitting his point total over with Embiid out, so until the lines adjust, this is a spot we should keep going back to. Simmons also made his case for Defensive Player of the Year with five steals and a pair of blocks.
Third Quarter Update: Simmons is up to 28 points, nine assists and seven rebounds after the third quarter vs. the Nets. So that’s a smash button on the point total and he’s hit the over in assists. Two more boards and we’ve got the rebound total and the combined PT/REB/AST total OVER is history as well. Simmons has 57.25 FPTS and another quarter to operate, so if he can reach the triple-double, he’d be on pace for potentially a career high in fantasy points.
Halftime Update: We’re still in a good place for Simmons to hit some of these player prop overs. He’s up to 15 points, four rebounds and seven assists in 20 minutes in the first half. Triple-double watch continues and we’ll probably have to sweat out some of these overs a bit. The points total should get there and Simmons only need a few assists for the over. Rebounds may be a bit tough, but again, triple-double in play and the pace/scoring in this game have been higher than expected. Simmons is also up to 33.5 FPTS at the half, which is returning solid value on the early slate.
First Quarter Update: Simmons continues to carry the Sixers without Embiid, scoring eight points with three assists and three rebounds in nine minutes to start MLK Day vs. the Nets. He’s up to 19.75 fantasy points on DraftKings at $9,100 for the early slate. He also has two steals. So looking at the props, we’re on track for the OVER on points, rebounds, assists, plus a double-double, potentially a triple-double and total points/rebounds/assists hit.
The loaded MLK Day slate features 14 games, including the Philadelphia 76ers at the Brooklyn Nets. With Joel Embiid out for the Sixers, they’ve needed big performances from Ben Simmons, who has mostly delivered. As you prepare to take in plenty of basketball, we’ll be keeping you updated on Simmons’ fantasy basketball and DFS stats, while also seeing how he does against his player props on DraftKings Sportsbook for the game. Here are the lines for Simmons:

*Simmons has hit the OVER in each of the bolded props
So with Embiid sidelined the past six games, Simmons ($9,100) has scored at least 19 points in five of six games. He’s coming off 20 points on Saturday vs. the Knicks in a narrow victory as well. He also has a double-double in two of six games without Embiid. Al Horford will play but Norvel Pelle isn’t with the team. Horford may be a bit restricted by his hand, so Simmons could play more minutes down low.
