Ja Morant fantasy basketball, player prop recap vs. Pelicans
Fantasy basketball stats: 26 points, three rebounds, nine assists — 34.75 FPTS
Player prop record: 1-4
Morant was cold from the field for a majority of the game but shot 4-of-7 from the field in the fourth quarter. His offensive aggression helped the Grizzlies mount a comeback, but the Pels pulled away in the end. Morant’s playmaking didn’t waiver, and the lone prop bet he hit the over on was assists (8.5).
Third quarter update: Morant logged 24 minutes through three quarters and recorded three points, seven assists, and a rebound while shooting 1-of-7 from the field. He has the best chance at hitting his over on assists (8.5), but there’s not much hope for the rest of his prop bets.
Halftime update: Morant got to the charity stripe and made his first field goal in the second quarter but still hasn’t found his shot. Several attempts at the rim were unsuccessful because of New Orleans’ length down low. He’ll have to pick it up in the second half to reach the over on points (18.5), assists (8.5). Hitting the over for total points, rebounds and assists seems like a long shot. Morant has three points, four assists, and a steal. He’s 1-of-5 from the field.
First quarter update: Morant ($8,200) got off to a slow start against the Pelicans. He was held scoreless while playing six minutes in the first quarter but did manage to tally three assists. His team trails 31-30.

We just barely missed a Morant vs. Zion Williamson matchup, but the way Morant has been playing he’s worth watching alone. The rookie is averaging 20 points, 9.4 assists and 5.6 rebounds over his past five games, shooting nearly 60% from the field and 40% from 3-point range. Both teams play way up in pace, so this game should showcase a ton of offense.
