Howard has participated in three Slam Dunk contests in his career from 2007-09 and took home the award once. He’s known for the time he put on the Superman cape, dunking on a hoop well above regulation size and flying through the air for a dunk from the foul line. He eventually lost when Nate Robinson dunked over him.
Anyway, there have been rumors that Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant could participate in the contest as well. We’ll keep an eye out for the rest of the players who will dunk it off in Chicago.
