The NBA will release its schedule for the first half of the 2020-21 season on Friday. NBA teams started training camp on Tuesday with the season set to begin on Dec. 22.
The Brooklyn Nets made the playoffs but it wasn’t the same excitement the franchise wanted after last offseason. Kevin Durant was signed via free agency along with PG Kyrie Irving. Both players didn’t see the court during the playoffs. Durant was held out the entire season. The Nets still made it through the bubble and into the first round, where they lost in four games to the Raptors. That was missing 5-6 rotation players, so not much to be upset about.
The Nets enter 2020-21 with championship aspirations. Durant has had ample time to recover from a torn Achilles. Irving has had plenty of time to recover from a shoulder injury. Brooklyn has a loaded roster with role players to surround the two stars. Joe Harris was brought back via free agency. Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jarrett Allen will make up the core of the rotation. Taurean Prince, Landry Shamet, Tyler Johnson and Bruce Brown are the other names likely to be on the roster. Overall, the Nets’ expectations are high under first-year head coach Steve Nash.
Here’s what the Nets schedule looks like:

NBA Championship: +600
Eastern Conference: +275
