Phoenix Suns G Devin Booker has been picked as a replacement for injured PG Damian Lillard at All-Star Weekend in Chicago. Booker will play for Team LeBron and also partake in the 3-Point Contest in place of Dame. Lillard was injured in Wednesday night’s game against the Pelicans, hurting his groin late in the fourth quarter. He was diagnosed with a strain and is going for an MRI on Thursday.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard on Team LeBron in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the United Center in Chicago. Booker was among one of the All-Star Game snubs after the players were announced a month back. He’s put together another solid season, averaging 26.4 points and 6.3 assists per game in 52 games for the Suns. He’s shooting nearly 50% from the floor and 35.8% from long range. While his 3PT% isn’t too high, his 3PT shot volume has been up there. He’s made 101-of-282 3-pointers this season, on pace to hit a career high.
