UPDATE: Feb. 10:36 a.m. — The Knicks are expected to name CAA Agent Leon Rose as their next team president, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported early Thursday. New York is following the trend of hiring agents in the front office, similar to what the Warriors did with Bob Myers and the Lakers did with Rob Pelinka.

Apparently the deal involves both Rose and World Wide Wes William Wesley, also a super agent. Rose and World Wide Wes have represented some of the top names in basketball, including LeBron James, Chris Paul, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Carmelo Anthony and Karl-Anthony Towns. This is clearly a play by the Knicks to try and lure a few superstars to New York to revitalize the franchise. We’ll see if it ultimately pays off. The Knicks already whiffed on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving this past offseason.
Knicks have begun finalizing plans to bring Rose and William Wesley into potential basketball ops. structure, sources say. https://t.co/YxO3xVtDnL

Dolan has already had converations with one possible candidate, sources tell ESPN. The process for a successor is likely moving faster than the time needed to wait on an Ujiri courtship. https://t.co/9oFeARMvFY
