Cleveland and coach JB Bickerstaff's new contract extends four years -- through the 2023-2024 season, sources tell ESPN.

Bickerstaff took over as coach for John Beilein after both decided to part ways. Beilein was in his first pro season after coaching at Michigan from 2007-2019. Bickerstaff was named coach on Feb. 19 when Beilein stepped down. The Cavs are 5-5 since Bickerstaff took over, which is an improvement after losing 13 of 14 games before the All-Star Break. Clearly the Cavs have seen enough from JB to ride this out and see if a rebuild can turn into something positive. Cleveland has some pieces in Collin Sexton, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. if all of them can stay healthy and develop.
