First it was an NBA 2K tournament for players only and now ESPN is moving up the release of the highly-anticipated Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance, according to The New York Post. We’re finally getting some good basketball news.
The doc will now come out on Sunday, April 19th as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, which has suspended play for the NBA. It’s a 10-part series, so this should last the majority of the stoppage. An announcement is expected to come on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday morning, per the report.
The documentary follows the rise of MJ and the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. It also is said to have exclusive footage of the locker room during the dynasty. This isn’t a surprising move from ESPN considering the type of people asking for an early release. LeBron James being one of them.
