A week removed from a tweet trying to generate money for determining the next team he plays for, Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is back in the mix on social media. After noted shoe designer John Geiger tweeted the NBA was coming back on June 21st, Dinwiddie offered up this comment.
That’s just practice... I heard those last 5 games at bubble site start July 15th. https://t.co/EsF3omehYQ

There has been extensive chatter the past week about a potential NBA return. The most frequent rumors have been about setting all the teams up at Walt Disney World to complete the season. On Wednesday, we heard the league is going to start recalling players to practice facilities on June 1st, and expand the scope of workouts.
Dinwiddie can sometimes speak out of turn, but given the various reports, it would not be surprising if players have started to get a handle on ideas for restarting the season. The players’ union will need to work out a deal with the owners, and it is likely they’ve spoken amongst themselves as to what next steps might entail.
Dinwiddie might just be having fun with Twitter, or he might have actually heard something from other players. I suspect we’ll see some follow-up from NBA media on this potential return date.
