“The Last Dance” is a 10-part documentary giving us an inside look at the Chicago Bulls dynasty in the 90s led by Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen. Oh right, don’t forget Dennis Rodman. So we’re already four episodes into the series and so far, so good. We’ve had D-Rod going off the rails and MJ having to go get him in Las Vegas in bed with Carmen Electra. We’ve seen inside the locker room before and after games, including MJ and Scottie throwing shade at GM Jerry Krause. Phil and Rodman bond. The MJ vs. Isiah Thomas rivalry is re-kindled. We saw the first ship, now let’s get to the last.
“The Last Dance” Episodes 5 and 6 schedule
“The Last Dance” episodes 5 and 6 will air on ESPN starting at 9 p.m. ET. Episode 6 will immediately follow episode 5 at 10 p.m. ET. If you missed out on Episodes 3 and 4, don’t worry, both will air starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN before the new episodes.
What to watch for in Episodes 5 and 6
Well, Episode 5 has been dedicated to the late Kobe Bryant. So that’s huge. This episode will have Kobe’s interview discussing Michael Jordan and the Bulls. It’s going to be even tougher to watch after everything that has happened, but should also be extremely endearing. After all, Kobe has drawn the closest comparisons to MJ and the two always had a very strong bond.
We’ll also get more on the supporting cast for the Bulls, most notably Toni Kukoc, who had a rough time earning the respect of Jordan and Pippen early on. Kukoc was considered “Krause’s Guy” and that rubbed MJ and Pippen the wrong way. It’ll be interesting to see Toni’s take on MJ and the Bulls coming from more of an outsiders insider perspective.
