Report: Kings’ Richaun Holmes breaks quarantine protocol pick up food delivery

It appears like Richaun Holmes has already had enough of the food provided in the NBA bubble.

NBA’s are breaking bubble quarantine protocol left and right at Disney World, and Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes is the latest culprit in a slew of violations. Holmes crossed the Disney campus line to pick up a food delivery, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. He’s two days into a 10-day self-quarantine and won’t be able to re-join his team at practice until next week.

It looks like Holmes didn’t catch Phoenix suns swingman Kelly Oubre Jr.’s advice. Oubre suggested that NBA players order food via Postmates and pick it up in front of their respective hotels in a now-deleted tweet. It’s unclear what Holmes ordered, but I hope it wasn’t something like McDonald’s.

Holmes’ absence could impact the Kings significantly, as they’re 21 12 games out of first place in the Western Conference, like New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers. Missing a week and a half of practice when his team’s first game in three months is approaching could make a big difference in how successful Sacramento is when basketball returns.
