The Brooklyn Nets have lost a heap of key players for various reasons ahead of the NBA’s 2020 restart and couldn’t compete with the Utah Jazz in their scrimmage on Monday. Utah got out in front early by claiming a 32-19 lead in the first quarter en route to it’s eventual 112-107 win. Rudy Gobert’s surprising offensive contributions were a major factor in the matchup.

It’s not surprising that Caris LeVert led the way for Brooklyn. He led all scorers and ran the Nets’ offense with Kyrie Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie out of commission. It’s clear that he’ll have to carry a heavy load moving forward, and facing tough defensive teams like the Utah Jazz will test Brooklyn’s offensive limits. Here are some of the top performers from the game.

Utah Jazz stats

Rudy Gobert: 20 points, 7 rebounds
Donovan Mitchell: 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists
Mike Conley: 18 points
Jordan Clarkson: 12 points, 5 rebounds

Brooklyn Nets stats

Caris LeVert: 23 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists
Jarrett Allen: 19 points, 10 rebounds
Tyler Johnson: 11 points
Rodions Kurucs: 13 points, 6 rebounds
