Lineup Notes

Jazz — Utah enters the opener with its roster intact. While players have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past, everyone is expected to be ready for Thursday night. Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell appear to have worked past their issues and there shouldn’t be any problems for the two All-Stars.

Pelicans Zion Williamson returned to the team after a leave of absence due to a personal matter and will play in the opener for the Pelicans. He only got practices in during the week and missed each scrimmage, and will be a game-time decision. We’ll see if he has any type of minutes limit early on. That may not be the case considering the importance of every game. New Orleans is 3.5 games out of the No. 8 seed in the West with eight games to play.

Update: Williamson is going through shootaround, which is a strong sign he will play tonight. Per Chris B. Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Zion is on track to play but will likely be on a minutes restriction if he does. Williamson will play, per multiple reports.
