Lineup Notes

Rockets Austin Rivers cleared quarantine and is expected to be ready for the opener Friday night. He was gone from the team due to an urgent family matter. Russell Westbrook had tested positive for Covid-19 and has since been cleared, but struggled in scrimmages. Eric Gordon has looked good, per coach Mike D’Antoni, so we could see more back courts featuring James Harden and Gordon.

Mavericks Luka Doncic did nothing but tear up scrimmages for Dallas, which enters the seeding round in relatively good health. Jalen Brunson, Courtney Lee and Dwight Powell are all sidelined, but that isn’t anything new. Boban Marjanovic looked great in scrimmages. Perhaps we’ll see Rick Carlisle UNLEASH THE BOBAN a bit more in the seeding round.
