Kemba Walker produces vs. Bucks despite minutes restriction

Kemba Walker was on a minutes restriction for the Boston Celtics’ 119-112 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. The All-Star guard is easing into things because of some lingering knee pain but had no problem firing on all cylinders against the top team in the Eastern Conference in his first game since March.

Walker racked up 16 points, one rebound, and two assists in just 19 minutes and played most of his minutes in the first half before sitting for the rest of the game. He tallied 23.25 DKFP in the outing.

That’s down from his average of 37.2 DKFP per game, but it appears like he’s in good health. Walker should be able to able to perform at a high level moving forward, but he might not be worth his price until the Celtics ramp up his playing time. It’s unclear when that will happen, but the postseason is rapidly approaching. His exposure should be close to normal soon.
