Report: Nets on the verge of signing ... Michael Beasley?

Yes, the Beas is close to making a return for Brooklyn! With the Nets down five players in the bubble, they’re pulling anyone off the street.

We knew it would be tough times for the Nets, but this is getting ridiculous. After losing Spencer Dinwiddie and Taurean Prince over the past few days, the Nets are on the verge of bringing in, you guessed it, Michael Beasley! The Beas is almost back, babbbaaayy. Not only are the Nets looking to add Beasley, they also brought in Jamal Crawford earlier Wednesday. This Nets team is low key becoming the team to watch in the bubble.

So the former No. 2 overall pick hasn’t played in the NBA since 2018-19 with the Lakers. He actually wasn’t a complete disaster, averaging 7.0 points in 10.7 minutes per game on 49% shooting from the field over 26 games. Beasley is only 31 and hasn’t really played a ton of organized basketball recently, so he should be fresh. In before we talk ourselves into Beasley in DFS when the Nets take on the Magic in Game 1.

Crawford is an NBA legend and honestly we’re a Swaggy P signing away from the Nets looking like a Big 3 squad. Could you imagine the Nets bringing in Nick Young to this roster that may feature Beasley? It’s an NBA nerds wet dream. Let’s pray overnight that we wake up to a Young signing in Brooklyn.
