The NBA is inching closer to a return at the end of July. The 22 teams participating in the restart of the 2019-20 season have made their way to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Training Camps for each team will run from July 9 through July 29 with scrimmages right up to the season reopening on July 30. With the Milwaukee Bucks beginning training camp, we’ll be tracking all the latest news and injuries here.

Milwaukee Bucks Training Camp news updates

July 24 — Bledsoe cleared of coronavirus

Bucks PG Eric Bledsoe has cleared Covid-19 protocol and has returned to practice. The Bucks were without Bledsoe for their win over the San Antonio Spurs in a scrimmage on Thursday. He should be able to get up to speed and back in the lineup before the season restart next week.

July 20 — Connaughton tests positive for Covid-19

The Bucks released a statement to the ESPN and the Milwaukee JS saying that G Pat Connaughton did not travel with the Bucks to Orlando after testing positive for coronavirus. Connaughton joins Eric Bledsoe as Bucks players who have tested positive and are in quarantine. This shouldn’t affect either player’s status for the NBA season restart at the end of the month. Both are asymptomatic and have plenty of time to return before games start.

July 16 — Bledsoe tests positive for Covid-19

Bucks PG Eric Bledsoe has tested positive for Covid-19 while inside the bubble in Orlando, per Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes. Bledsoe told Haynes that he is symptom-free and will be in isolation for 10-14 days until he has two negative tests. After that, Bledsoe can rejoin the Bucks for practices during training camp leading up to the season. Being as Bledsoe is symptom-free, we don’t really need to speculate as to who replaced him at starting PG.

July 5 — Bucks close down practice facilities

As a result of positive Covid-19 tests within the organization, the Bucks opted to be cautious and close down practice facilities. The Bucks are favorites to win it all and it will be interesting to see how this impacts them as they make their way down to Florida.
