NBA postpones next three games for Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizz had their Wednesday game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers postponed as well due to contact tracing.

The NBA announced Thursday that the next three games for the Memphis Grizzlies have been postponed due to contact tracing surrounding Covid-19. The Grizzlies had their game Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers postponed due to contact tracing, so the Grizz are expected to miss the next four games total.

This news comes while another NBA team is also dealing with a massive outbreak, though the Washington Wizards appear closer to returning to the court. The Wizards had their Friday game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks postponed, the sixth straight game they’ll miss. The Wiz returned to practice on Wednesday, but are still missing the required 8 players to field a roster in order to play. That is the same issue the Grizzlies are dealing with after Jonas Valanciunas tested positive for Covid-19 last week.

So this won’t just affect the Grizzlies. The Portland Trail Blazers won’t play on Friday, and then the Sacramento Kings won’t play back-to-back games Sunday and Monday vs. the Grizzlies. Be sure to adjust your fantasy basketball lineups if you have anyone on Memphis, Portland or SacTown.
