Houston Rockets guard John Wall faced the Washington Wizards for the first time in his career on Tuesday and did not disappoint against his former team. Wall wasn’t a fan of Washington giving up on him ahead of his return from the Achilles injury that sidelined him for nearly two seasons. He took out his frustration against his former team with an all-around performance in his team’s 107-88 win.
Wall stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in the first half, but was held off the floor for the third quarter on a minutes restriction. He returned to the hardwood in the fourth quarter to power his team to victory. Wall finished with 24 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists in 24 minutes.
Wall led all Rockets players in points and only Bradley Beal scored more in the game. Sometimes the revenge-game narrative bodes well for DFS, and this was one of those times despite Wall’s minutes restriction.
Hopefully, we’ll get to see a lot more vintage Wall moves like this for the rest of the season.
