NBA starting lineups, injury news for Wednesday, January 6th

We update you with all the latest lineup and injury news for the 11-game slate.

Detroit Pistons v Milwaukee Bucks

We’re about mid-way through the third week of the NBA season and things keep getting nuttier and nuttier. Last night for instance, the Brooklyn Nets decided to shake up their lineup with Kevin Durant in quarantine. All that led to was a 34-point win over the Utah Jazz, a team supposedly competing in the Western Conference. This trend of massive blowouts on a nightly basis has got some of us thinking maybe teams are taking certain nights off with the schedule being so condensed. The Jazz will look to bounce back at Madison Square Garden vs. the surprising New York Knicks and their winning record of 4-3.

As for injury news, the Cavaliers are expected to be pretty thin in the rotation again with Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr., Kevin Love, Dante Exum and Isaac Okoro all sidelined. That hasn’t stopped Cleveland from sporting a winning record (4-3) as well — not yet at least. The Boston Celtics are dealing with more injuries to the back court. Marcus Smart and Jeff Teague are both questionable to play against the Miami Heat. Let’s take a look at some projected lineups and injury notes.
