The Heat have been mostly peaks and valleys this season. Whenever they go on a run, it seems to end and turn into a skid. Health has been an issue with key players like Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic and Avery Bradley missing significant time this season. Miami has a lot of work to do to get into playoff position, but luckily there’s still half a season to go. The Heat do have some momentum heading into a rematch of last season’s Finals coming off a win over the Sacramento Kings.
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off one of their worst losses of the season at home against the Brooklyn Nets. We got some surprising news when PG Dennis Schroder was placed into health and safety protocols before the game Thursday. With Schroder and Anthony Davis (calf) sidelined, that’s two starters out for L.A. LeBron James has done a nice job stepping up and carrying the team, but he can only do so much. The Heat may be more motivated given the narrative. We also could see LeBron in full force.
