The NBA and NBPA have reached an agreement to hold an All Star Game during this shortened season. The plan is to hold the game in Atlanta on March 7th, according to Shams Charania. There has been discussion about having a dunk contest and three-point shootout as well, according to Marc Stein.
Earlier this week, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported a big topic of discussion was travel plans amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The expectation is players would fly in the night before by private plane and fly out right after the game. This is similar to what the league is doing for its regular season games.
The league has a break set for March 5-10, after which the second half of the truncated schedule will begin. The second half schedule has not been announced, but Woj is reporting all players would likely be required to return to their team market two days prior to the end of the break.
