The Bucks enter with a 15-8 record, which is 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia 76ers at the top of the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee lost two in a row before rattling off four consecutive wins including Saturday’s 124-99 road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the second of back-to-back matchups against Cleveland, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a team-high 24 points on 8 of 15 field goal attempts with 11 rebounds. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday each added 20 points for the Bucks.
The Nuggets come in at 12-10, tied for the sixth best record in the Western Conference. After a big win over the Utah Jazz, which boasts the top record in the NBA, Denver lost each of their last two games against the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. Second-leading scorer Jamal Murray missed Saturday’s 119-114 loss to Sacramento with a knee injury, and his status is uncertain going into Monday’s game. In addition, Gary Harris will miss another game with a groin injury.
